The benchmark July delivery contract for palm oil on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange dropped by 14 ringgit, or 0.35%, to 4,029 ringgit (USD 912.98) per tonne by the midday break. The contract hit a more than six-month low during early trading.

The most actively traded soybean oil contract on the Dalian Commodity Exchange fell by 0.1%, while the palm oil contract dropped by 1.08%. Soybean oil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) declined by 0.59%.
